Political Polarization

In the Fall of 2015 and Spring of 2016, the Weidenbaum Center hosted three lectures on the topic of Political Polarization.

The first lecture was held on September 28.  Steven Smith talked on "Causes and Consequences of Polarization in Modern American Politics."

The second lecture was on October 26.  Caroline Tolbert, University of Iowa, spoke on "Campaign Quality Under Preferential Plurality Voting in U.S. Cities."

The third lecture was on February 10.  Frances Lee, University of Maryland, gave a lecture on "Insecure Majorities: Congress and the Perpetual Campaign."
