Immigration under Trump 2.0

Hear award-winning journalist and Pulitzer Center Grantee Simón Ríos break down the urgent challenges immigrant families face seeking refuge under the second administration of Donald Trump.

Award-winning bilingual reporter Simón Ríos, a Pulitzer grantee at WBUR, Boston's NPR new station, covers how Greater Boston is transforming—tracking the forces of immigration, shifting demographics, and inequality shaping the region’s future.

Over a decade at WBUR, Simón’s coverage areas have ranged from housing to politics. His radio and print stories have garnered multiple awards, including for a three part series in 2024, tracing a Haitian family’s journey to Massachusetts and through the state shelter system. More recently he has covered the impact of immigration enforcement on local communities.
