Interior Immigration Enforcement and the American State

In response to recent developments in federal immigration enforcement, the Weidenbaum Center convenes a timely conversation to examine what is unfolding inside the United States—and how we should understand it.

This moderated panel brings historical, legal, and institutional perspective to contemporary interior immigration enforcement. This discussion will help us move beyond headlines to better understand the structures, authorities, and constraints shaping interior immigration enforcement today—and why those distinctions matter for law, democracy, and communities across the country. Audience Q&A will follow the panel discussion.
