Private Enterprise at Olin: Main Street's Tidal Wave of Transition

Please join WashU Olin's Koch Center for Family Enterprise and the Weidenbaum Center for continued dialogue around private enterprise and a special sneak peek at the WashU Olin Brookings Commission findings on the topic.

Learn about research findings and policy recommendations from WashU Olin Brookings Commission on ownership transition in private business.

The conversation will take a deep dive into the growing wave of ownership transitions. This trend, sometimes referred to as “the silver tsunami,” is the core of the commission’s work. This presentation will address how these businesses will pass to the next generation or to  outside owners, the role private equity might play in these transitions and other models of  ownership that
aging founders might consider.
