Clarissa Hayward, Professor of Political Science
"Democracy's Creative Spaces: How Shared Values and Different Perspectives Reshape Politics."
Professor Hayward will discuss how small groups of like-minded people who share core values, but have different perspectives and experiences, can collectively create powerful new concepts, analyses, and ideals that reshape how we think about politics.
Adia Wingfield, Mary Tileston Hemenway Professor of Arts & Sciences, Assistant Vice Provost and Professor of Sociology
"Gray Areas: How Workplace Dynamics Maintain Racial Inequality."
Professor Wingfield will be talking about her most recent book, which argues that the everyday aspects of how we work contribute to racial inequality in companies.
