A Start to our 2024-25 Academic Year 

Dear Friend of the Weidenbaum Center,

I hope you all had a restful summer. As we look forward to the start of another academic year, I am writing to thank you once again for your support and to share our excitement for the upcoming events and initiatives at the Weidenbaum Center.

Your generosity has been the bedrock of our achievements, enabling us to drive forward our mission of bridging the gap between academia, policymaking, and the broader community. Over the past year, your contributions have funded cutting-edge faculty research, supported prolific grant work, and facilitated a diverse array of public affairs programs. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to advancing social scientific research and fostering informed public discourse.

This coming year holds significant importance, particularly with the upcoming election. We recognize the critical role that informed public dialogue and research play in these times. To this end, we have planned a series of events designed to engage and educate our community. Our exciting lineup includes:

• An immigration forum, discussing efforts to promote immigrant inclusion
• A public policy lunch with RealClearPolitics Senior Elections Analyst Sean Trende
• A breakfast fireside chat with former St. Louis Fed Chair Dr. James Bullard
• A conversation between economic advisors of the Biden and Trump Administrations
• A public policy lunch featuring post-election analysis
